Terms and Conditions for Narao Learning Portal

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Narao website and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you may not use the portal.

2. User Accounts and Authentication

Registration: To access Narao, you must create an account. We primarily use Google OAuth for authentication.

Security: You are responsible for the security of your account. Since we use Google Login, the security of your account is also tied to your Google Account credentials.

Data Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate information. We retrieve your name, email address, and profile photo from Google to set up your Narao profile.

3. Integration with Google Services

Our portal integrates deeply with Google APIs to provide a seamless learning experience. By using Narao, you acknowledge and consent to the following:

  • Google Drive: We access your Google Drive only when you choose to upload or share documents for assignments and course materials.
  • Google Meet: We use the Meet API to schedule, manage, and provide links for live virtual classrooms.
  • Gmail Integration: We may use the gmail.send scope to send automated course notifications, enrollment confirmations, and platform updates directly from your authorized account or our system.
  • Compliance: Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell your Google data to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security (Supabase)

Your data is managed and stored using Supabase infrastructure.

  • Security Protocols: Data is encrypted at rest and in transit (SSL/TLS).
  • Privacy by Design: We utilize Row Level Security (RLS) within our Supabase database. This ensures that your personal data, files, and progress are only accessible to you and authorized instructors.
  • No Data Mining: We do not use your personal information or Google-sourced data for advertising or unauthorized tracking.

5. Intellectual Property

Platform Content: All software, design, and original educational content on Narao are the property of Narao or its licensors.

User Content: You retain ownership of any original work you submit. However, by submitting content, you grant Narao a license to host and display that content for the purpose of your education and platform functionality.

6. Prohibited Conduct

Users are strictly prohibited from:

  • Attempting to bypass Supabase security filters or access other users' data.
  • Distributing course materials without permission.
  • Using the Google Meet or Gmail integrations for spamming or harassment.

7. Termination

Narao reserves the right to terminate or suspend access to your account for violations of these terms, including security breaches or unauthorized use of integrated Google services.

8. Limitation of Liability

Narao provides the platform "as is." We are not liable for any service interruptions caused by third-party providers like Google or Supabase, nor for any indirect damages arising from your use of the portal.
